Puppies 7 Weeks Old
Hard to believe we are in the final week with these amazing puppies! We are so excited to have them meet their forever families. Puppies will continue to nap in their crate each day for 2 naps up to 2 hours each time as they tolerate. We are working on their names and having them sit to greet us which they are picking up on very quickly. They truly desire to please and are at the perfect stage to have more one on one attention and training. We have enjoyed this adventure with you all so very much and can’t wait to see you all soon!

Puppies 6 Weeks Old
It has been so working with families this week to pick the best puppy for their home and now to have name for them for us to call them by! This week we will continue to have puppies spend naps in crates. Uecker has finished nursing to give puppies ample time to adjust to only eating dog food that we still soften. Puppies have their vet appointment Monday where they will have a full exam, vaccines, and be microchipped. Most potties are being done outside (unless we are distracted with visitors) and we are so excited for the sunshine and warmer temps that are coming to give puppies more time to play outside. We continue to give them time with our other dogs to help them become comfortable with other animals. We will begin to encourage puppies to sit when they greet us which is something that is so important to continue to reinforce once they come home. We are absolutely loving each puppy so much and can’t believe we are getting so close to take home!
Order of pictures below: Murphy (Light Blue Girl), Yellow (TBD), Tilly (pink), Stormy (teal), Coda (Purple), Beau (Black), Murphy (Blue Boy), Xavi (Red Boy), & Lucky (green boy)
Puppies 5 Weeks Old
It has been fun to start the puppy picking process! Teal Girl is now Stormfly aka “Stormy” and Black Boy is now Beau. Puppies are 5 weeks old this week and developing before our eyes! They have mastered the doggie door and lots of potties are being done outdoors now which is so very exciting for us. They are eating 3 soft meals daily and will begin on hard dog food the end of this week. Uecker is taking longer breaks from them and nursing less as their teeth are very sharp which helps in the weaning process. Puppies will begin this week getting acclimated in very short intervals to time in crates which we will increase the time spent slowly each day. We have more planned visits with fiends & family also to give them positive interactions with more humans.
So many fun things ahead!

Puppies 4 Weeks Old
Puppies are at the funnest stage in our families opinion! They get so excited to see us and always are wagging their tails in excitement. We are looking forward Sunday this week as families begin to pick their puppies. We will keep this page updated as puppies are chosen. This week Uecker will spend more time daily away from her puppies to start the weaning process. Puppies will have access to fresh water and by the end of the week will be eating 3 meals of very soft dog food. They will still nurse from Uecker, but will begin to be less as their teeth continue to grow in fully. We will continue to introduce them to new objects and toys daily. We will also work on startle response by making loud noises and then offer lots of reassurance. We also play a sounds CD several times daily to get them used to many sounds they may encounter during their lives like: fireworks, sirens, door bells, babies crying, and many more to help them become very accustomed to new sounds. We will have visits from more friends and family to give them lots of attention and get them used to more people. Puppies also will start to spend more time outside. This will get longer each day and potty breaks will be offered outside until they can start to use the doggie door and choose to go outside to potty on their own. Puppies will be separated from their siblings for short periods daily to interact with us 1 on 1. We will enlarge their area to give them more room to play and explore while continuing to provide an area for them to go potty. They will spend short periods of time in a crate just to become familiar with this new space. So many fun things to come this week!

Puppies 3 Weeks Old
What an exciting week now that puppies can now see and hear their world is getting so much more exciting for them. They have found their voices and it is so fun to hear them use them and almost startle each other and themselves when they make their little barks and growls. It has been so fun to see them make the transition from the pool to a larger space. We have introduced a potty area and puppies are already moving away to find it when they need to go. We continue to do our intentional “ENS” time daily with puppies but have introduced a few new helpers during this process this week to give them more exposure to gentle helpers. Puppies will also spend time outside their are in new spaces to learn more and become comfortable being away from their siblings for short periods of time. As they can hear we will also intentionally start to make a loud noise followed by lots of snuggles and reassurance to help them become comfortable with new noises. Lots of growth this week so collars were once again loosened to accommodate their chunky necks and nails have been trimmed again to keep Mama safe from little scratches. So many fun things moving into this week that make the process so much fun!

Puppies 2 Weeks Old
Puppies have started to open their eyes and are moving around more these days. They have started to take their first wobbly steps which is so fun to watch. Snuggles are our favorite part of the process and we are eating up each moment of this stage before they are more on the go. We continue to do our intentional “ENS” now twice daily with each puppy. Puppies have had their nails trimmed again and new collars to accommodate their growth. We will also give them their first dose of dewormer this week and will continue that every 2 weeks until they go home. By the end of this week puppies ears will be opening and then they will really begin to progress and learn more through their senses. Looking forward to a fun week ahead!

Happy Friday!
I had too many pictures to go into the weekend without an update. Puppies just started peeking their eyes open which is the start to the starting to explore more the world around them. Photos of their first week or two with eyes open can look a bit off but their eyes will continue to develop and become a deep rich brown by the time they go home. All the pink noses will turn black overtime also. Lots of changes and growth happening before our eyes. Each one is so precious!
Hope you enjoy.
Puppies one week old
Puppies are growing by the minute! We have adjusted all their collars to accommodate the rapid growth and nails were trimmed to keep mama comfortable. We are loving our special snuggle time daily to perform “ENS” with each one. Eyes will begin to open around day 11-14 so for now their world is very small. Eye opening is a very gradual process but will open their world to so much in a very short amount of time. For now they can only explore their world through touch, scent, and taste. Ears will open closer to 3 weeks of age and that becomes yet another time that the world around them becomes a lot more exciting! Each puppy may have started with pink on their nose but it will be fun to see them all transition to black over the next few weeks.
Enjoy the fun of how they have already changed!

All is well here. Uecker had gotten out for some good walks and got her first bath which makes her so fluffy and I’m sure once it’s over feels amazing. Puppies are all eating and growing exactly how we want the to be.
Enjoy the beauty below.
Such a beautiful bunch!

Uecker and puppies are all thriving and doing very well! Each puppy has gained appropriately over the first 24 hrs. The vet came today to remove the puppies rear dew claws and was very pleased with how big they all are and how well they are doing. The first 3 days we give Mama lots of quiet time to bond, recover and feel safe with her puppies. Day 3 we will start the intentional stimulation time with each one which is one of our favorite parts of the process as we get to snuggle each one. I hope to post individually pictures tomorrow with their colors so you can start to pick them apart.
Uecker is ready to go! She still enjoys her hikes with her family but her belly has dropped and she is coming today to get all settled in before puppies arrive in the next days ahead. We are so very excited to start this journey with each family and will post once puppies have arrived and are doing well.
So very excited to say Uecker had an ultrasound and the vet said she is “full of puppies”. She feels there are 8 or more. Uecker is feeling well and extra snuggly as is very normal during this phase. She will begin to eat 25% more in her diet this week with extra needs during the rapid puppy growth. She is also on Nuvet supplement and gets lots of love and snuggles to create the best environment for puppies to grow and develop. So very excited for the adventure ahead. We will update next as Uecker gets settled into the nursery just before puppies arrive.
