Puppies 6 Weeks Old
This week we will continue to have puppies spend naps in crates. Uecker has finished nursing and has gone home to her family to give puppies ample time to adjust to only eating dog food that we still soften. Puppies have their vet appointment Tuesday where they will have a full exam, vaccines, and be microchipped. Most potties are being done outside (unless we are distracted with visitors) and we are so excited for the sunshine and warmer temps that are coming to give puppies more time to play outside. They are very tolerant though and still brave the cold when they have had to. We have been giving puppies time individually inside to be on many different surfaces and have time to explore new areas without their siblings. We continue to give them time with our other dogs to help them become comfortable with other animals. We will begin to encourage puppies to sit when they greet us which is something that is so important to continue to reinforce once they come home. We are absolutely loving each puppy so much and can’t believe we so close to take home!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Puppies 5 Weeks Old
Puppies are 5 weeks old this week and developing before our eyes! They have mastered the doggie door and most potties are being done outdoors now except on the rainy days…the really dislike the rain. They are eating 3 soft meals daily and will begin on hard dog food the end of this week. Ueacker is taking longer breaks from them and nursing less as their teeth are very sharp which helps in the weaning process. It was so fun to meet more of our families this past week as they picked which puppy would join their family! We love all the names that have been given so far and are enjoying calling them each by it. Puppies have chosen to all snuggle in a large crate for a few naps which is a great start to acclimating them each in their own. We will gradually start to put them in a crate for short periods with a buddy this week to continue to acclimate them to the crate until they go home. Our big girls continue visit puppies to give them new interactions and they will continue to spend time in new areas to provide new experiences to them. We have more planned visits with fiends also to give them positive interactions with more humans.
So many fun things ahead!

Puppies 4 Weeks Old
Puppies are at the funnest stage in our families opinion! They get so excited to see us and always are wagging their tails in excitement. We are looking forward this week as families continue to pick their puppies. We will keep this page updated as puppies are chosen. This week we begin to have Uecker spend more time away from her puppies to start the weaning process. Puppies will have access to fresh water and by the end of the week will be eating 3 meals of very soft dog food. They will still nurse from Uecker but will begin to be less as their teeth continue to grow in fully. We will continue to introduce them to new objects and toys daily. We will also work on startle response by making loud noises and then offer lots of reassurance. We also play a sounds CD several times daily to get them used to many sounds they may encounter during their lives like: fireworks, sirens, door bells, babies crying, and many more to help them become very accustomed to new sounds. We will have visits from more friends and family to give them lots of attention and get them used to more people. Puppies also will start to spend time outside as weather permits. This will get longer each day and potty breaks will be offered outside until they can start to use the doggie door and choose to go outside to potty on their own. Puppies will be separated from their siblings for short periods daily to interact with us 1 on 1. We will enlarge their area to give them more room to play and explore while continuing to provide an area for them to go potty. They will spend short periods of time in a crate just to become familiar with this new space. So many fun things to come this week!

Puppies 3 Weeks Old
What an exciting week now that puppies can now see and hear their world is getting so much more exciting for them. They have found their voices and it is so fun to hear them use them and almost startle each other and themselves when they make their little barks and growls. It has been so fun to see them make the transition from the pool to a larger space. We have introduced a potty area and puppies are already moving away to find it when they need to go. We continue to do our intentional “ENS” time daily with puppies but have introduced a few new helpers during this process this week to give them more exposure to gentle helpers. Puppies will also spend time outside their are in new spaces to learn more and become comfortable being away from their siblings for short periods of time. As they can hear we will also intentionally start to make a loud noise followed by lots of snuggles and reassurance to help them become comfortable with new noises. So many fun things moving into this week that make the process so much fun!

Puppies 2 Weeks Old
Puppies have started to open their eyes and are moving around more these days. They have started to take their first wobbly steps which is so fun to watch. Snuggles are our favorite part of the process and we are eating up each moment of this stage before they are more on the go. We continue to do our intentional “ENS” now twice daily with each puppy. Puppies have had their nails trimmed again and collars made larger to accommodate their growth. We also have given them their first dose of dewormer and will continue that every 2 weeks until they go home. By the end of this week puppies ears will be opening and then they will really begin to progress and learn more through their senses. Looking forward to a fun week ahead!

Puppies 1 Week Old
Puppies are growing by the minute! We have changed all their collars to accommodate the rapid growth and nails were trimmed over the weekend to keep mama comfortable. We are loving our special snuggle time daily to perform “ENS” with each one. Eyes will begin to open around day 11-14. It is a very gradual process but will open their world to so much in a very short amount of time. For now they can only explore their world through touch, scent, and taste. Ears will open closer to 3 weeks of age and that becomes yet another time that the world around them becomes a lot more exciting! Each puppy may have started with a pink nose but it will be fun to see them all transition to black over the next few weeks. Enjoy the fun of how they have changed in one week below.

Puppies all did very well with their rear dew claw removal yesterday. and initial vet check! Today is the start of our favorite part of puppies, the fun of Early Neurologic Stimulation otherwise called “ENS” time. This process is started to help introduce mild stresses to each puppy in a controlled way. The stress helps to stimulate the neurological system which improves the growth and development of pups, immune system, cardiovascular system, and stress tolerance. We love this time daily as it more reason to snuggle each puppy and get to know them better. Each puppy has a colored collar to help you keep an eye on each puppy a bit better as you may have noticed with yesterday’s puppy introduction. This helps us keep an eye on each one’s growth and better helps families start to fall in love with specific puppies.
Enjoy getting to know them better!

Puppies are doing very well and growing quickly as expected! We are just overwhelmed with how beautiful they are and again with the miracle of the process. Uecker is such an amazing mother and so very gentle and attentive with her puppies. Today we are still keeping the area, very quiet and calm to give them time to continue to bond and nurse well. Hopefully by the middle of the week, we will take individual pictures to better introduce you to each puppy.
The first 24 hours are so critical and I am so happy to say everyone is doing very well! Each puppy gained weight overnight and Uecker is eating and nursing well. Again, the first 3 days we support Uecker, but try to keep things very calm, quiet, and little activity as possibly to give her time to adjust to adjust and bond with her puppies. By day 3 we will start to handle each puppy more intentionally and we can’t wait for that time with each one. Here are a few pictures from this morning.
Make that 12 healthy puppies!
8 girls & 4 boys
Puppies started to make their arrival very early this morning as predicted! So far we have 11 total (7 girls & 4 boys). All are doing very well and eating lots already! They range in size from 10 – 15 oz. They are so colorful and truly all so beautiful. This process never gets old and the amazing, intricate little bodies of each puppy is such a miracle. Our big girls sure can tell there is excitement in the air so I had to show some pictures of them eagerly waiting.
The many positions of labor! Uecker doing her best to get comfortable. Still no puppies…we will see if my prediction of middle of the night is correct.
No puppies yet but Uecker is showing lots of signs that we are within the 24 hour window. She went for a nice walk last night and is enjoying all the snuggles we are giving her. She is holding up well with mild contractions currently. Her temperature dripped this morning so we are all ready for delivery very soon. It is pretty typical that it could be late in the night but I will be sure to update once they are all delivered and doing well.
We are so very excited that this is the week Uecker is due! She seems to be growing by the minute, but she is still active and doing very well. We love feeling the puppy movements in her belly and can hardly wait to welcome puppies very soon. She is currently not showing any immediate signs of labor so we still have a few days before we welcome her puppies. Looking forward to the adventure ahead!
We are so excited to begin this journey with each family for their future puppy. Uecker and Wrigley make such amazing puppies we can’t wait to welcome them in a few weeks. Uecker is due March 20th here are some fun pictures of Mom & Dad above we have pictures of their past litter to give you an idea of the cuteness to come!

Here are some extra pictures from the weekend!
